Where these games come from

Many of the games on PlayPendium were inspired by the arcade and home-computer classics that defined an era — titles like Asteroids, Pac-Man, Missile Command, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong and Frogger, to name only a few.

We owe a debt to the companies that built that golden age — among them Atari, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, Taito, Konami, Sega and Activision. Their breakthroughs across the 1970s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s are the roots and branches that grew into the games we play today.

PlayPendium's games are our own original creations — a love letter to those classics, not copies of them.
